Aare Onakakanfo of Owu Kingdom, Gani Adams has perfected arrangements to celebrate the first year anniversary of his installation as Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land.
The event will hold between January 10 and 13, 2019, in Lagos.
Activities lined to mark the event includes a public lecture, book launch, conferment of honorary titles on prominent Nigerians.
There will also be art and exhibition with a grand reception.
Aare Gani Adams while addressing the media on Friday said the celebration of his coronation would be an annual event.
“I will use my maiden edition of the programme as an opportunity to appreciate some prominent Yoruba sons and daughters in Yoruba land”.
Adams said that the titles is for people of diverse background.
This includes professors, culture activists, Media personalities, businessmen and women, and legal luminaries.
Also commenting on the event, a member of the planning committee, Dr. Abiola Ayankunbi, said the event plans are underway.
“Our plan is to make the first anniversary a big success”.
“The event will run for four days, with different activities”.
“We are expecting dignitaries from across the world to be part of the celebration”.
Ayankunbi added that there would be thanksgiving services in church, Mosques while the traditionalists would also be involved.
Aare Gani Adams honoured as the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land on Saturday, January 13 at a very elaborate shindig held at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo State.
