Doyin Okupe In Trouble Again As EFCC Set For His Arraignment


Doyin Okupe, former senior Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan is in trouble again.

Okupe on Saturday was invited by Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) for documentation ahead of arraignment in court.

He is facing a count charge bothering on N162million illicit payment to him and his companies by former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dansuki

He is also accused of cybercrime among other offenses.

The spokesman for PDP’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has been on bail after his interrogation since June 2016.

Checks revealed that the process of his arraignment was concluded on Friday.

The reason anti-graft commission stormed his Ilupeju, Lagos home unannounced for his arrest.

EFCC later left after Okupe promised to honor the invitation on Monday, December 10, 2018.

Giving an insight into allegations against Okupe, many believe it is a political witch hunt because he is a member of the opposition party.

From all indications, it appears Okupe may not witness the  2019 general election after his arraignment.

The EFCC’s plan according to the informed sources is to edge him out before the election because Okupe poses a threat as spokesman for Atiku.
