How A 20-Foot Container Killed One in Lagos

Just when Nigerians thought they could breathe easier from gruesome container accidents. Another container accident occurred on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2018.

A 20-foot container fell on two cars, burst into flame and killed one person. This gruesome accident occurred at the Maryland axis of Lagos state.

This was a reason for terrible traffic conditions in Maryland, Ikeja and Gbagada axis. With many unable to get to their homes, till the early hours of Sunday morning.

This is coming months after the Lagos Tanker Fire left several dead and properties worth millions destroyed. It is also coming years after a container fell off Ojuelegba bridge, killing several people  See Story.

Sadly calls for stricter regulations on tankers and tanker drivers are all but ignored.

It is important that Nigerians, especially Lagosians are careful this Yuletide, with the expected high traffic conditions.
