Fresh facts have just emerged about why Ondo State speaker, Bamidele Oloyelogun was impeached on Friday, Nov. 9 2018.
His removal according to information made available to Happenings hinged on his incompetence, financial impropriety, high handedness, among other issues.
The new speaker is Olamide George from Akure North. While Abimbola Fajolu, representing Oluji/Okeigbo constituency is the deputy speaker.
The new leadership of the house was quickly chosen to forestall peace and order in the house. And to further avoid fracas that greeted state assembly premises during the impeachment process.
Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu is yet to speak on the foregoing political imbroglio in his domain. But the emergence of the new speaker, Olamide George has since brought normalcy into the house.
The new speaker promised that accountability, transparency, and sanity will be maintained in the state.
