No doubt when a franchise boasts of over a staggering $2.3 billion worldwide at the box office since its initial release in 2001 you know it’s huge and thankfully Fast & Furious 7 the latest of the series, one of the most anticipated action movies in recent times is no exception!
Fast & Furious picks up the mantle about a year after its sixth episode and we can’t help but say the action is nothing short of spectacular; insane stunts which snob gravity with no apologies, exceptional depiction of the combat skills, believable aesthetics, engaging dialogue, breathtaking audiovisuals and of course Director James Wan’s brilliant recreation of Paul Walker who passed away midway production through his identical brothers (Caleb and Cody) to seal up his part on the big screen is nothing short of genius!
Fast & Furious 7 is a deeply touching tribute to Paul Walker. The film’s plot revolves around Deckard Shaw (Owen’s older brother) who vows revenge against Dominic Toretto and his family for putting his brother in a coma.
Reveling in the victory against Owen, Dominic Toretto (Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Walker), and the rest of the crew go home to the United States and try to live normal lives again but this peace is interrupted by Shaw’s thirst for revenge.
Their peaceful existence is overturned when a bomb, disguised in a package sent from Tokyo, explodes and destroys the Toretto house and Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) traces Shaw to be behind it. He then calls on fellow pals; Brian (Paul Walker), Letty(Michelle Rodriguez), Roman(Tyrese Gibson) and Tej (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) to help him in the battle against Jakande a mercenary whose aim is to obtain God’s Eye, a computer program that can use digital devices to track any person.
In the end Jakande dies but what happens to Dominic after the fierce fight? Does he regain consciousness? Will Letty’s newly regained memories of their amazing past be strong enough to bring him back to life???
The last scene at the beach – every shade of beautiful; Brian and Mia oblivious to the others playing with their son while the others look on with feelings akin to love and respect and as the team silently disperses, Brian catches up with Dominic and it’s the final goodbyes for both as they head towards separate destinations.
Indeed, a touching tribute to the late film actor Paul Walker who died November 30, 2013.
Fast &Furious 7 Stars Hollywood’s finest Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham. The film was written by Chris Morgan and directed by James Wan.
Jaw drooping Stunts:
Apart from cars sliding down from helicopters and the film’s many captivating action packed moments, the scene where Brian jumps off a bus and off a cliff takes adrenaline pumping to a whole new level of high.
It’s action all the way, driven by one thing – Blood thirsty revenge!
The movie breaks the tension with a little bit of humour dished by American actor Tyrese Gibson whose character Roman is determined to stand out but lacks courage and frets in the face of even the simplest of challenges.
Deservedly Fast & Furious 7 sequel has landed many positive reviews and Yep, it’s worth it!
Just got to say it – Fast & Furious 7 your one stop to eye popping action thrills… cool!
