All roads will lead to Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on Sunday, June 7, where #TheConversation will take place.
A gathering of women and men unlearning years of patriarchal dogma, is a brainchild of Joy Isi Bewaji.
The first Conversation was held in Lagos in May; its impact successfully pulled the attention of sponsorship. The Abuja edition will be reaching a larger number from the prestigious location- live streaming and active twitter participation. This will be made possible by BEFA Women and Childcare Foundation and its President, Nneoma Albert-Benson.
Ten Lagos participants will experience two days of Trancorp Hilton hospitality as the countdown of the event that is eager to change mind-sets, and fervent in its pursuit for the breaking down of walls of Patriarchy, will come with it a breath of new possibilities for the girl child.
“We are questioning patriarchy and unlearning a system that we have spent all our lives believing. Privileges are for both genders. Patriarchy is a timeworn practice we have to get rid of,” Joy Isi Bewaji states.
There’ll be poetry and comedy and interesting conversations that will be streamed live for larger influence.
