The world, land and sea, is home to unusual animals and organisms. You think you’ve seen all shades of weirdness? Pacu Fish: Also known as the ‘testicle eating’ fish or the ‘ball cutter’ this freshwater fish is usually found in the rivers of the Amazon and Papua New Guinea. Although the Pacu’s regular diet consist of fruits, nuts and small fish, it has also been known to eat human flesh-more specifically testicles- with its human-like teeth. (image – saltstrong.com)

Okapi: Though it looks like a zebra, it isn’t. The Okapi is actually more closely related to giraffes. It is native to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa. (image — disney.go.com)

Blue parrotfish: It is found on coral reefs in shallow water in the tropical and subtropical parts of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.This exotic blue creature is a foody, it spends 80% of its time scouring the waters for food which consists of small organisms found in the sand and algae that they scrape off rocks. Panda ant: These adorable looking creatures are not actually ants, but wasps. The name panda ant is as a result of their black and white color, similar to that of a panda. They are wingless and have fur on their body which explains why they are often mistaken for ants. (image – seedsofeaden.com)

Purple Atelopus Frog: Also known as the purple harlequin frog, this species was discovered in 2006. Hailing from Central and South America this two-toned frog has fluorescent lavender loops atop an eggplant colored background. (image – lolwot.com)

Yeti crab:This blind deep sea creature was first discovered in 2005 along the Pacific-Antarctic ridge.    Named after the fabled abominable snowman of the Himalayas, the Yeti crab got its name due to its feathery hands and legs. (image – marinesciencetoday)

Red lipped Batfish: I don’t know why I laughed immediately I saw this one, the red lips maybe, anyway this fish is found on the Galapagos Islands, this fish is actually a pretty bad swimmer, and uses its pectoral fins to walk on the bottom of the ocean.(image credit -imgur)

Japanese spider crab: The Japanese spider crab has the greatest leg span of any arthropod, reaching 3.8 metres (12 ft) from claw to claw. The body may grow to a size of 40 cm or 16 in (carapace width) and the whole crab can weigh up to 19 kilograms, It is reported to have a gentle disposition, despite its ferocious appearance.
