AKA “The King of Rock n’ Roll,” rose to prominence in the late 1950’s, becoming a legendary presence in cultural history and the best-selling solo artist in the history of pop. He released such #1 singles as “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Stuck on You.”

His identical twin brother Jesse Garon Presely was delivered stillborn shortly before Elvis’s birth. He was a loner as a child and brought a guitar to school with him everyday.

He appeared in over 30 movies, with his big screen debut coming in the 1956 film Love Me Tender, named after one of his songs.

He married Priscilla Presley on May 1, 1967 and they divorced on October 9, 1973. His daughter Lisa Marie Presley also became a singer.

He was joined by guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black in The Blue Moon Boys from 1954 to 1968. He was a contemporary of country icon Johnny Cash and fellow rock pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis.

The singing icon was January 8, 1935, he died Aug 16, 1977 – aged 42.

Famous international singer R Kelly popularly referred to as the King of R&B gained fame for hits like: “I Believe I Can Fly” and “Ignition (Remix).” With over 100 million records sold worldwide, he is one of the top-selling artists of all-time.

Before fame, he appeared on a televised talent show called Big Break, which awarded him a $100,000 prize. He signed with Jive Records in 1991.

He created a rap opera, or hip-hopera, called Trapped in the Closet, which was released in four installments from 2005 to 2012.

He married Aaliyah on August 30, 1994 and, after their annulment on February 7, 1995, he married Andrea Kelly in 1996. He has three children named Jaya, Joann and Robert.

His 2007 song “Rock Star,” featuring Ludacris, reached #54 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

The 48 years old megastar was born January 8, 1967.

While growing up, he was known for get into fist fights while attending Stockwell Infants School. He founded his first band, The Konrads, when he was fifteen.

His first #1 single in the United States, “Fame,” was co-written by John Lennon.

He married Angela Bowie on March 19, 1970; after their divorce on February 8, 1980, he married Somalian supermodel Iman on June 6, 1992. He has a son named Duncan and a daughter named Alexandria.

He wrote and performed “Under Pressure” with Freddie Mercury and Queen in 1981.

She became a passionate humanitarian, and has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-Algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM).
