From an average girl who became a mom during her teenage years to one of Africa’s biggests stars, Genevieve Nnaji is no doubt every inch a success story.
Born to an Engineer and nursery teacher the fourth of eight children May 3, 1979 in Mbaise local government, Imo state, the actress grew up in Lagos.
She attended Methodist girl’s college and later Yaba College before graduating from Lagos State University with a BSC in English.
Her journey into the film world began when she starred as a child actress at age 8 in Ripples while at 19,she got her first big break in the film Most Wanted, since then she has starred over 80 Nollywood movies including: Camouflage, Games women play, Tango with me, Mirror Boy, Half of a Yellow Sun, Road to yesterday, Ijé: The Journey and others.
Genevieve Nnaji is one of the best paid actresses in Nollywood with delicious endorsement deals from; Lux, Amstel Malta and more recently Etisalat to prove.
The mega star turns 37 today.
