Whether or not you admit it, truth is WE ALL LIE! Yup; Those innocent common white lies are no exception either. It’s pretty easy to delude ourselves into believing we’re saints, but fact is, we all don’t spill the truth every time which lands us in that zone. Doubt me? Remember those times when you were obviously out of your mind with worry and a not so close knit friend (gossip) asked how you’re doing and you blurted out “fine“, even without thinking? At least that’s reasonable right, considering the fact that you just can’t go spilling every single detail of your precious life to just anybody and all…lol… or those times when you bluntly refused to pick those annoying calls which you eventually had to later on anyway, answering with that familiar line – “Sorry I missed your call”...forget grammar such as privacy and omission; you lied, plain and simple!
Four types of liars;
Your name proudly belongs in the good books; you rarely lie but somehow you keep finding your way down this zone – maybe to avoid spilling a secret …and each time that happens, it totally eats you up with guilt. Obviously you’re not perfect but try to work at it, so right after messing up, you’re real quick to ask for forgiveness … Most people belong here.
You’ve got a reputation as a liar and guess what? you just don’t care, after all no one is perfect… You lie about even the most silly things in a bid to have a “better reputation” which in the long run has cost you lots of friends. Everyone knows to take your words with a grain of salt but you just keep trying anyway, to become way better in convincing people.
You’re very “gifted” with words and this fact, you know oh so well and use religiously to your advantage. Unlike the frequent liar, you’re better at convincing people. You’re no doubt fun to be with, entertaining hearts with your juicy tales. In relationships, catching this player can prove very difficult, your guts tell you they’re cheating and lying but somehow you question it..
You are addicted to lying; you lie even when you don’t have to, it’s like an itch you just can’t help. Your whole life you keep on working on more and more lies to cover previous lies. A compulsive liar ends up lonely and sad person because they are not trustworthy. This type of liars lie about everything single thing; money, relationship, family, education… It just goes on and on.
Although we might try to justify our reason for lying sometimes, tagging them “noble” in a bid to ease the burden on someone else, it is important to note that if lying is left unchecked it would most likely ruin your relationship with people in the long run.
