Hip Hop icon Marshall Bruce Mathers III better known by his stage Eminem is no doubt one of the most noteworthy hip-hop figures across the globe.

The artiste most notably was one of those running the music game from 1999 up through 2003, releasing three well-reviewed and multi-platinum albums.

He became an international sensation after the release of his first single, “My Name Is.”

Eminem won the Best Rap Album Grammy for three consecutive albums: The Slim Shady LP (1999), The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) and The Eminem Show (2002). He also received the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Lose Yourself,” from the 2002 film 8 Mile, which he also starred in.

However, it all came crashing down around 2004, when a string of problems ranging from drug dependence to depression to the tragic death of best friend Deshaun “Proof” Holton in 2006

This led to Em switching his style up to more emotional subject matter on 2010’s Recovery, which was well-received bagging a Grammy award.

Eminem founded Shady Records in 1999 (after the success of The Slim Shady LP).

He was married to Kimberly Anne Scott from June 14, 1999 until their divorce on October 11, 2001. They remarried on January 14, 2006, but divorced again later that year. He has three daughters named Hailie, Whitney and Alaina.

Eminem’s upcoming album ‘Root’ has 12 tracks with collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z and Skylar Grey.

Phenomenal Haitian-American rapper, producer, and activist Wyclef Jean began his music career with hip hop group The Fugees. He won two Grammys in 1997 for his work on The Fugees album The Score.

He joined The Fugees in 1990.

He filed for candidacy in the 2010 Haitian presidential election, but his candidacy was ruled ineligible by the Electoral Commission.

He got married to Marie Claudinette Jean in 1994, the couple has an adopted daughter.
