1975 – Bill Gates adopted the name Microsoft for the company he and Paul Allen had formed to write the BASIC computer language for the Altair.

Release of Pong –  release in 1972 of the world’s first bestselling video game, PONG! Pong was the very first sports arcade video game. It was the first game developed by Atari
Pong’s success inspired many companies to get into the video game business, for example Konami and Nintendo.

2014 –  The World Health Organization said the death toll from the worst Ebola outbreak on record has reached nearly 7,000 in West Africa.
