Music sensation Banky W clocks 36; Also celebrating Nollywood’s Kehinde Bankole!

Today we celebrate two entertainment personalities; Banky W and Kehinde Bankole as they turn a year older;

Banky W

American born-Nigerian R&B artiste Olubankole Wellington, a.k.a Banky W, one of the country’s leading artistes is not just an average celeb, he is a combination of brains and talent.

The graduate of Industrial Engineering from RPI in New York, started his journey to fame when he participated and  won the Albany Idol competition, while abroad, He released a couple of tracks. In 2008, Banky sure made the right move when he moved back to his native home Nigeria, dishing out hit singles including Ebute metta, Capable and My regret

Banky is CEO Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) records which is home to Shaydee and Niyola.

A dedicated Arsenal Fan, the award winning artiste has won awards such as; Best R&B Video, Nigerian Music Video Awards 2008 for ‘Don’t Break My Heart’, Best Male Vocal Performance, Hip hop World Awards 2009 for ‘Don’t Break My Heart’, R&B Single of the year, 2010 Hip Hop World Awards for ‘Strong Ting’, Best R&B Singer (Male) and Best Music Video 2010 City People Entertainment Awards and others.

He recently dropped a video for his song – Blessing Me.

Banky isn’t just restricted to the music world, he featured in The Wedding Party.

Also celebrating Kehinde Bankole alongside her twin sister Taiwo; 

Award winning Nollywood actress who gained fame many thanks to her role in Super Story:  Everything It Takes.

The former model and television host ( Soul Sisters), was the face of Lux in 2007 alongside costars Sylvia Udeogu and Olaide Olaogun.

She also featured in Wale Adenuga’s productions like Papa Ajasco and This Life. In Nollywood, Kehinde has also starred in movies like Two Brides and a Baby, The Meeting, Awakening , October 1, Desperate Housewives and Beyond Blood.

She has won prestigious awards like; Revelation of the year award at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards and Best Actress Of The Year Award At The 2015 African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards(AMVCA) for her role in Tunde Afolayan’s October 1 movie.
