There are moments we feel unmotivated. We seem stuck and unable to produce a coherent idea. Writers call it a writer’s block, others could refer to it as a creative block. This could occur as a result of a monotonous routine carried out daily. Here are a few tips to help get your creativity up and running:
1. Be devoted
This is the first step on your journey to creativity. A full commitment to developing your creativity is what you need. You have to set aside time each day to develop your creativity.
Brainstorming new ideas is a powerful tool for developing creativity. The goal of brainstorming is to generate as many ideas as you can. You have to do this with no judgment or criticism in mind. It has to just flow as the ideas come.
3. Engage your senses
Creativity is not just something or a process that is expected to happen to you. You have to be engaged in an activity which can help as a source of inspiration for creativity. These activities include: listening to music, reading a book, drawing, engaging in an argument or debate on any topical issue, dancing, and fixing things with your hands etc.
4. Create a deadline
As scary as this sounds, deadlines are an incentive to activate your creative impulses. This would give your mind focus to think and create ideas before the time you have set.
With these basics, you are sure to be putting out creative ideas with ease.
