Watching TV is good. It, no doubt, helps to relieve stress. Watching your favourite TV shows after a long day will definitely help ease off stress and help you relax. But when watching TV becomes addictive and you feel like you spend more time flipping through channels than just sitting then you probably want to reduce that time.

Just like every habit, breaking the habit of watching too much TV is difficult but possible, and replacing it with new and more healthy habits makes it even more possible.

Meditation is used to train your mind and it is a good substitute for watching TV. So, get yourself into that realm.

Exercise is to the body what meditation is to the mind. Instead of watching TV, make moves that will keep your body and mind fit. You can head to the gym or do some exercises at home that will help you stay fit.

3. Learn something new on the internet

It is time to go to the internet and learn new things. You can quickly get a crash course on anything you want or watch a YouTube video. There are many things you can learn on the internet, including knitting, cooking, or anything else that interests you.

4. Read a book

If you want to reduce the time you spend watching TV, then you should invest in books. You will be spending your time wisely if you read books, whether fiction or nonfiction.
