There is nothing like a perfect relationship, but you can make it healthy. A healthy meal sometimes does not have to be our favourite meal. In fact, in most cases, they are usually our least favourite food, something we have to eat to live long and strong. The same goes for a romantic relationship.
A healthy relationship means enduring and tolerating each other to have a long-lasting relationship. No matter how enticing the beginning is, you are still going to need some of these tips to keep it going.
1. Respect boundaries
Boundaries are not meant to be pushed. You should know that your partner has their personal/private lives. They will involve you when they want to. Pushing yourself to get more information might make you look insecure, or worse, desperate.
2. Keep other interests alive
Do not expect too much from your partner. Maintain a good relationship with your family and friends. Maintain your hobbies and personal interests. Do not let go of your interests because of your relationship.
This alone is enough to make or break any relationship. Not communicating enough will either erase things from your partner’s life or keep them farther away from you. Even if you wake up from the same bed every day, try to check in once in a while.
4. Spend quality time with your partner
Arrange picnics or hangouts for you both and just have fun. Sometimes, seeing new couples can bring some spark into your relationship.
