Hydrogen peroxide is a chemical compound and the most underrated agent we have in our homes. It is commonly used to treat minor cuts, scrapes and burns. But there are so many other uses of this liquid chemical in a bottle. Check out some of them below.
You can get a paste made out of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. It is effective and does the same job as the normal toothpaste but long use is not advisable because baking soda can eventually wear the enamel off.

This can be used to brighten the floor. You just need to add it to some hot water and use it to scrub the floor.
3. Stain remover
You can use hydrogen peroxide on stains before tossing them into the washing machine or laundry. You can remove stains on curtains, bedsheets, tablecloths etc.
This can also serve as a mouthwash after eating or before stepping out. It kills bacteria in the mouth and those hidden in between the teeth.
5. Toothbrush sanitizer
It can be used to clean your toothbrush. It also helps retain your toothbrush bristles.
6. Heals wounds
This is commonly used to heal minor cuts and burns. You should not use too much, though, because of its sensitivity to some people.
7. Gives bags a sweet-smelling scent
You can spray your bags with hydrogen in order to get rid of any funny smell. Sometimes, things kept inside the bag can make it smell different or it smells like the leather used to produce it.
8. Keeps salad fresh
Spray a solution of 1/2cup of water and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide on leftover salad, drain, cover and put inside the refrigerator.
9. It whitens fingernails
If you are familiar with nail painting and the use of acrylic nails, you will observe that the nails turn yellow after some time. You can whiten them with hydrogen peroxide.
10. It acts as food stain removal
It removes stains from pots and pans. Mix with baking soda and rub it in, let it sit for a few minutes. Go back to scrubbing with a hard sponge and warm water.
11. It can be used as a teeth whitener
It contains a bleaching agent, so it can also function as a teeth whitener. Repeat for some months to get the desired results.
12. It acts as a hair highlighter
Dilute half of cup hydrogen peroxide in half cup of water. Apply on wet hair to create subtle and natural highlights.
