6 Ways To Strengthen Your Immunity

Margaret Solace

The immune system is a complex network of cells that defends the body against infection. Signs of a weak immune system include digestive issues, loss of appetite, abdominal cramping, delay of growth in infants and children.

Babies have a weak immune system and are prone to common infections; their immune systems grow gradually.

A weak immune system can cause autoimmune disorders and inflammation of internal organs.

Having a great immune system can prevent you from getting sick or contracting common viruses and bacteria. A person with a weak immune system can easily contact a viral virus faster than the person with a great immune system, so it's important to keep the immune system strong.

Here are great tips you can adopt to improve your immunity:

1. Personal hygiene

The first thing often advised if you want to be rid of infection or disease is to keep great personal hygiene. Have your bath, brush twice daily, wash your hands after using the restroom. Wash your food, fruits, and vegetables before cooking and eating.

2. Eat high diets in fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables make the skin look healthy; they cleanse the body from toxins. They can help strengthen the immune system.

3. Exercise

You can go for light cardio daily if you can't do the hard ones. You can do your exercise even in the house with sit-ups, lunges, or you can talk a walk. This will keep the body moving.

4. Sleep

You need to get enough sleep. Normal sleep is 8 hours per day. Not getting enough time to sleep can make you look sick or actually make you sick. The body needs enough rest to rejuvenate.

5.Drink moderately

If you drink alcohol, limit it or drink moderately. Do not turn it into a habit.

6. Avoid smoking

Quit smoking, if you want to strengthen your immune system. Smoking puts enough stress on the lungs and the things you inhale can slow down or weaken the immune system.

7. Vitamins

There are three types of vitamins for boosting the immune system and they include;

Vitamin C

This vitamin is present in most fruits and vegetables, especially in citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and kiwi fruit. It can be used to fight infections and diseases, keep the skin looking bright and glowing.

Vitamin B6

This can help to support biochemical reactions in the immune system.

Vitamin E

This is a great and powerful antioxidant that helps to fight infections.
