Akara is a fried beanball, made from a mixture of washed and peeled black-eyed beans, onions and pepper.

Salt to taste
Soak the beans for about 5 minutes and wash thoroughly to remove the skin.
Grind or liquidize until smooth, and place in a large bowl.
After that, season with salt and beat in the warm water little at a time to make it light.
Fold in the sliced onions and mix with a metal spoon to avoid letting out the air which has been beaten into the mixture.
Heat the oil until a blue faint smoke appears, and spoon the mixture into the oil to form balls, then fry until golden brown.
Drain on absorbent kitchen paper, and in the absence of that, pour Inside a sieve.
