Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State on Thursday said the all those involved in the attack on Kamantan village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area would be brought to justice.
Yero, who made the pledge during condolence visit to the Chief of Kamantan, Adamu Alkali, said adequate security would be provided for residents in the area.
“The people that perpetrated this deadly act must be brought to book. Government will not fold it arms and watch some criminals cause havoc on the good people of the state”, he said.
Yero appealed to the residents to continue to live in peace and be law abiding at all times.
He urged parents and community leaders to caution their children against taking laws into their hands under any guise.
Yero said the government would not condone any act of retaliation, assuring that measures had been taken to track down the attackers.
The governor appealed to the people of the state not to allow anybody to ignite crisis that would bring hardship in the state.
In his response, Alkali commended the governor for his concern and the steps taken so far to safeguard the people.
He pledged his support to the administration, adding that measures had been taken by the community to sensitise the youths to remain peaceful.
