Soldiers manning the road have placed barricades, saying they are following “orders from above.”

Earlier, Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, had announced that there would be no restriction of movement today (Sunday) over the rescheduled elections.

Intending church goers have been restricted and cannot attend service, today Palm Sunday.

Although Ikorodu  is not among the five local government areas (Alimosho, Oshodi/Isolo, Eti Osa, Kosofe and Somolu) in Lagos whose elections have been postponed till today by the Independent National Electoral Commission, restriction of movement is said to be taking place.
