The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah, says the resort to suicide bombing by Boko Haram militants is a sign of defeat of  the terrorist groups.

Giving his opinion about the increasing cases of suicide bombing in States in the north-east, north-central and north-west, Lieutenant General Minimah said the military was not resting on its oars, assuring Nigerians that with the intelligence gathered, the military is shutting down this renewed operation by the Boko Haram terrorists.

He, however, urged Nigerians to also take ownership of the  fight against  the terrorists, especially with regard to the recent increase in bomb attacks.

Lieutenant General Minimah made this known at a gathering of officers and men of the Nigerian Army for the second quarter Chief of Army Staff conference, a quarterly meeting to appraise the operations of the Nigerian Army.

The Chief of Army Staff said  the final enclave of the terrorists left in the Sambisa forest will soon be totally destroyed.

He also solicited  the cooperation of all Nigerians to win the war on terror.
