The Israeli government has promised to support Nigeria in its campaign to eradicate terrorism before the end of 2015.
This was disclosed by Turaki Hassan, the Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.
Hassan said that the promise had been conveyed by the Speaker of the Israeli Parliament, Knesset, Mr Yuli-Yoel Edelstein during a meeting with Dogara on the side-lines of the ongoing Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in New York, United States.
Mr. Edelstein said:
“We must unite to fight terrorism and not to group them into their terrorist and our terrorists.”
“Israel is committed to fight terrorism because terrorists use divisions between nations and even democratic countries.”
President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Nigerian military to eradicate terrorist sect, Boko Haram before December.
