An environmental inspector married couple, identified as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, 27, left their 6 months old baby with a relative, then armed themselves and stormed into the annual holiday party at a government center killing 14 on Wednesday, Dec.2.

Authorities have identified the evil husband and wife duo suspected of killing 14 innocent victims.

Syed, who was an American citizen and county health inspector, and Tashfeen were killed during a shootout with police hours after they opened fire at the Inland Regional Center’s holiday party.

The 28-year-old U.S. citizen was at the party earlier in the day, but left “angry,” and returned with his wife heavily armed with assault rifles and semi-automatic handguns — they also left three explosive devices at the scene. The pair fled the scene in SUVs, but police tracked them down to a residence in Redlands, California, where the shootout took place.

Families of those killed and injured in the San Bernardino shootings are still dealing with this horrific tragedy.

“I have no idea why he would do something like this,” Farook’s brother-in-law, Farhan Khan, said. “I have absolutely no idea. I am in shock myself. I don’t have words to express how sad and how devastated I am.” As of now, police are still unsure of the couple’s motive. A third person was taken into custody at the scene of the shootout, but his role is still unknown.

The shooting began in the morning hours of Dec. 2 at the Inland Regional Center. The gunmen, who reportedly were wearing body armour, masks and carrying rifles, entered the facility for the developmentally disabled and started firing, according to the Los Angeles Times.  After their rampage, there were reportedly 14 people dead with up to 17 people injured.

The San Bernardino police department quickly responded to the “active shooter” situation, and they were joined by the FBI, the ATF and the fire department.  A bomb squad reportedly found a “suspicious package” on the second floor of the building, according to CNN, and reportedly handled it by robot.

The facility is California’s largest and busiest center for those with disabilities. The center was holding an event when “multiple shooters came in and started shooting,” according to the San Bernardino Police Department.
