A pregnant woman was tragically found dead on a Shaanxi street yesterday, horrifically suffocated to death after her head accidentally was trapped in a roadside guardrail.
The Paper reports that a witness told police that the woman, who was pregnant with twins, had become dizzy while walking and tried to lean on the rail to get some rest. She then fainted and her head became stuck inside the railing.
When they noticed what had happened, passersby rushed over, attempting to break the banisters with their bare heads. Unfortunately, the woman suffocated to death before they were able to save her.
Paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital but were unable to revive her or save her unborn children. They also could not say for sure why she had suddenly fainted on the street.
