The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming Ondo state election, Jimoh Ibrahim has said if elected, “I will eradicate all forms of taxes; I will ask citizens to pay N10,000 monthly for road constructions”.
Ibrahim stated this tonight during the Ondo governorship debate organised by Channels TV.
On the stand discussing issues that concern the state were Olusola Oke, Rotimi Akeredolu, Olu Agunloye and Jimoh Ibrahim.
Jimoh said, “In a recession, you don’t drive the economy with taxes”.
He said people of the state who have not been paid for eight months do not deserve to be burdened with having to pay Personal Income Tax.
Well, let’s see how this declaration is going for him…
Though we can’t quite figure out how this is going to work, there’s one thing a few people have agreed on – he’s got confidence!
