A senator representing Ondo South senatorial district, Yele Omogunwa has called for the legalisation of corruption in Nigeria as a means to curbing the menace.
Omogunwa reportedly said this while making his contributing to the debate on the 2017 budget.
Speaking on the floor of the house on Wednesday, the senator argued that with the legalisation , corrupt politicians and public officials will have no reason to hide their loot abroad. Adding that Nigerians who stole public funds would use them in building factories and industries in the country, instead of having them stashed away abroad.
The Senate confirmed Omogunwa’s suggestion via it’s official Twitter handle;
