They were released today in Aboto Creek, Ilaje, Ondo State where they have allegedly been held captive for the last 65 days. Operatives of the Nigeria Police are said to have picked the boys at about 3:30pm

A ransom of N100 million was demanded by the kidnappers after the students have been abducted but was later reduced to N30 million owing to the inability of the parents to meet up with the initial demand.

The kidnappers mounted pressure on the Lagos State Government and also advised the parents of the kidnapped students to reach out to one another and deliberate on how to raise the money for the ransom demanded.
