The remains of Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh were earlier today, Thursday, January 24, 20, buried at the National Cemetery in Abuja.

The former Chief of Air Staff was being investigated by EFCC for receiving money from Dansuki before his death.

He was murdered by unknown gun men on Keffi-Abuja Road last year December while returning from his farm.

Top government functionaries from the presidency and all military heads, including Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Buratai, Chief Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas and Chief Defenec Staff, Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin, attended the burial ceremony.

Governors of Adamawa State, Umar Jibrila, Simon Lalong of Plateau State and Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, retired Admiral John Jonah, were also in Abuja to honour the late CDS.

Mary Badeh, the wife of the late military brass and her three children, could not hold back their tears as their husband and father was lowered into his final resting place.

The funeral climaxed with 21-gun shots to salute the late Chief of Defence Staff who served his country meritoriously.

Alex Badeh was appointed by ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, in 2012.

He served his father and gave account of himself before retiring from the service.

Several suspects in connection to the killing have been arrested, while investigation is ongoing to nab others on the run.
