Speculations Trail MC Oluomo’s Miraculous Escape from Death
It is no longer news that the National Treasurer of Lagos State chapter of the National Union Road Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo, has returned from his medical treatment abroad.
However, speculations have continued to trail the NURTW boss since his return from the US.
Akinsanya, who returned to the country after spending a few days in the United States of America to seek proper medical care, has expressed his appreciation to the party and the leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sources privy to Akinsanya’s state of health exclusively informed Happenings that the attack was not serious, as it is being speculated. This, the source stated, is a decoy to get sympathy and support from the national leader of the ruling party, Tinubu, on his ambition to become the next Lagos Chairman of NURTW.
MC Oluomo and Bayo Success are regarded as the major problems of Lagos motor parks on their quest to take over as the chairman of Lagos chapter of the Road Union after the present chairman, Alhaji Agbede’s tenure expires.
In the last few years, several prominent members of Lagos Road union have been sent to an early grave over supremacy battle and factional problems plaguing the Lagos State chapter.
The pathetic of the lot was the gruesome murder of Bello, popularly called Hamburger.
Hamburger, who was one of the topshots at Oshodi Motor Park, was shot dead after a fight broke out in Shogunle area of Lagos during the All Progressives Congress local government primaries.
Some powerful members in the zone were said not to be comfortable with his soaring image before he was silenced.
Samson Agbetoye aka Golden, who is a close ally of MC Oluomo, was alleged to have killed Hamburger as ordered by his master.
MC Oluomo, last month, was stabbed in the neck by factional union leader, Kunle Poly, during the official campaign flag-off of the Lagos chapter of All Progressives Congress.
The union leader spent a few days at the Eko Hospital, receiving treatment before he was moved abroad for further treatment.
Prior to his medical trip to the US, over two million naira was raised around Lagos Motor parks to offset his medical bill at Eko Hospital.
The Lagos State Police Command has so far nabbed 16 suspects in connection with the violence that led to the attack on MC Oluomo. The police is yet to arrest the main culprit, identified as Mustapha Adekunle, better known as Seigo.
