Ambode’s daughter, Adasa, while welcoming the president, knelt down, and his son, Emmanuel, prostrated fully, both expressing their respect to the president in the Yoruba way.
The Lagos First Lady, Bolanle Ambode, was also on ground with her family to give grand reception to the president.
Buhari, before embarking on a 10-day private visit to the United Kingdom, was in Lagos to commission some legacy projects of the Ambode administration, including the 10-lane Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road, Oshodi Interchange Transport Park and the modern Ayinke House.
The president is expected to return home on May 5
