The culprits numbering about 27 females and 20 males were also charged with various nefarious activities such as prostitution, sexual assault of a child, drugs, unlawful possession of a weapon, tampering with evidence and credit card scam issues.

Sergeant John Wall, a police Sergeant with the Houston Police Department Vice Division, while reacting to the arrest noted that the most rewarding part of the investigation was rescuing two minors, the youngest being 16.

We understand they are scared to come forward, but we are going to do everything in our power to keep them safe, give them the services they need to move forward in life. And, at the end of the day, we hope we can put the trafficker where he belongs, and that’s in prison.

The news has literally become major discourse among the Nigerian community in the United States and those back home, over the involvement of a highly placed Nigerian like Dafe, who was formerly the head of a federal parastatal in such a heinous crime.

The US security operatives is yet to go to court on the case but it appears Dafe will serve jail term before his deportation to his home country.
