The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] spokesperson, Tony Orilade, has confirmed to the press that the commission has arrested 16 suspected internet fraudsters.

The young men, popularly known as Yahoo boys , were arrested over the weekend at their hideout in Ughoton and Udu communities, Warri, Delta State.

Orilade confirmed that the arrest was made after getting an anonymous tip. The suspects, within the age range of 20 and 30, were caught in possession of ATM Cards, Laptops, Android Phones, Iphones and four exotic cars, including Lexus ES530, Lexus RX330, Lexus ES330, and GLK 4 matic.

Orilade also confirmed that the suspects will soon be charged to court, as they have given their statements.

The EFCC has given stern warning to internet fraudsters and has continued its mission to round up all cybercrime syndicates. “Yahoo Yahoo" has been glorified by so many youths in Nigeria but the Buhari administration is looking to end that trend.
