Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, former president of Nigeria, had 300 million naira worth of valuables stolen from him in his home in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa.

According to reports, officers of the Bayelsa Police Command have now confirmed and arrested the other four suspects for their alleged involvement in the theft. The swift operation was tagged "Operation Puff Adder."

The police operatives also confirmed the suspects to be two unidentified females and two brothers of the former First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Dame Jonathan. They were identified as Princewill Oba, Rasheed Boma Oba, and close sources have confirmed that the suspects were already making useful confessions to the police. Some money gotten from the sales of some loots have already been recovered.

One of the suspects is reported to be a top member of the management staff of Aridolf Resort Hotels and Spa, which is owned by Patience Dame Jonathan, the ex-president’s wife. Using a duplicate key and his position as a staff, the suspect masterminded the grand looting of the room where the president's family kept their valuables. Other staffs in the hotel noticed strange movements and alerted the police of theft when valuables went missing and the police responded swiftly to the case.

The former first lady, Patience Jonathan, is reportedly in shock over the alleged theft carried out by her relatives but has left them to the mercy of the police. Jonathan and his aides have refused to address the matter and will allow the police handle it as they deem fit.
