Mr. Ishmael Omolade, the Principal of Ogor Technical College, Otor-Ogor, Ughelli South in Delta State, has been dismissed from his duties as principal of the school for issues relating to corruption.

He is currently awaiting disciplinary actions against him at the headquarters of Technical and Vocational Education Board in Asaba.

Omolade has been instructed by the state to refund the N11 million he collected illegally from students of the college between 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic sessions into the state coffers.

According to a recently released statement from the Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in Asaba, the state government also handed out sanctions to 15 other individuals involved in the unauthorized collection of funds from public primary and secondary school students across the state. A board of inquiry set up by the ministry under the state governor's approval confirmed that the sanctions are in line with their findings.

The published statement read, "Mr. Ishmael Omolade has been removed as the Principal of Ogor Technical College, Otor-Ogor. He is to refund the sum of N11,124,800.00, being monies illegally collected from students in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic sessions and have been posted to the headquarters of Technical and Vocational Education Board in Asaba."
