Notorious criminal, Bobrisky, of Gokana Local Government Area (LGA), Rivers State, has been apprehended by the Nigerian army deployed to the community.
The capture of the criminal came in less than twenty four hours after Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, placed a thirty million naira bounty on the notorious cultist who was involved in the killing of a Rivers State diplomat and was known for terrorizing the youths of Gokana community.
Speaking during a security meeting with the leaders of Rumuolumeni Community at the Government House, Port Harcourt, Governor Wike thanked the Nigerian army for capturing the suspected cultist. He called on community leaders to supply information to the State Security council on criminals in their communities for the security agencies.
“The army has captured Bobrisky of Gokana. I will pay the bounty that I promised to the Nigerian army.
“Anyone who generates insecurity in Rivers State, I am ready to pay any amount to ensure the arrest of that person,” Wike said.
Wike described Rumuolumeni community as one of the escape routes in the state, urging community leaders to cooperate with the state government and security personnel in checkmating the activities of cult groups and criminals in the area.
The Spokesman of Rumuolumeni Community, Collins Wagbara, expressed his satisfaction that Governor Wike had commenced the process of constructing key roads in the area. He thanked him for fulfilling his promises to the community and also assured the governor that the community will help eradicate cultism in the state by being cooperative with the police.
