DEBT: AMCON Takes Over Donald Duke’s Ikoyi Property
The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria has taken over a property belonging to Donald Duke, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the last general election and former Governor of Cross River State.
The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday ruled that AMCON and United Bank For Africa (UBA) should take possession of the property located in Ikoyi over an alleged debt running into N537,334,360.77.
The court had since August 8, 2019, made the order in a judgement delivered by Justice Chuka Obiozor before the final decision on Wednesday.
The said property is a detached houses and a luxurious block of flats.
