Some bandits have surrendered their military camouflages, ammunition and rifles, including one AK 47 rifle, one LMG military rifle, two LAR rifles, ten rounds of live ammunition, to Zamfara State as part of the peace pact initiated by the state.
This is not the first time this would happen in the state. Earlier in June, when peace was brokered between the state and the bandits, the state received some military camouflages, rifles and ammunition from the bandits.
The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Usman Nagogo, thanked his team for achieving another landmark in the state, noting that the trust among the teammates got them this far.
Thanking the governor of the state for ensuring the success of the peace pact, Nagogo affirmed that the police had eyes and ears in the forest who would deal with the bandits.
