It's been 62 days, since Samson Siasia’s 80-year-old mother, Mrs. Beauty Ogere Siasia was kidnapped and the police in Bayelsa state has been unable to secure her release.

According to the Bayelsa state police command, there are faced with difficulties in their investigation.

The Bayelsa state commissioner, Uche Anozia, made this revelation, yesterday while commenting on the police effort to free Mrs. Beauty Ogere Siasia.

A difficulty he revealed was that the criminals were constantly moving and “changing locations” with their victim.

He said:

“The police have been trailing the abductors in spite of the fact that they have been changing locations.

“The fundamental aspect of our operations that is of interest to us is the achievement of positive result and not actually occasional dissemination of information concerning efforts being made by the police to achieve such result. This is why we have not been coming on air to update the public.”

However, the commissioner assures concerned parties that the Bayelsa state Police is working round the clock with several security agencies.

Recall that armed men invaded Ma Siasia’s Odoni home and kidnapped the aged woman on July 15, 2019. The kidnappers initially contacted the Siasia family demanding N70million ransom, although that was changed to N50million

This will be the second time the woman has been kidnapped by men of the underworld for ransom.
