Sowore to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
Omoyele Sowore, the incarcerated former presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election, is expected to be arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, September 24.
The pro-democracy campaigner and convener of #RevolutionNow movement was last Friday charged with several allegations bordering on cybercrime, treason, money laundering and insulting President Muhammadu Buhari in a television interview.
The publisher of Sahara Reporters was arrested last month for planning a protest, tagged #RevolutionNow, which was aimed at criticizing bad governance in Nigeria.
Sowore had just completed 45 days in the custody of DSS before he was charged.
