President Muhammadu Buhari, through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, sent his condolence to the family of the deceased lawmaker, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa.
The Senator, who represented Osun East constituency between 1999 and 2003, was a former teacher, labour activist, politician and a leader before his demise. He died at the age of eighty-eight, leaving behind children and grandchildren.
The late politician was the National Chairman of Alliance for Democracy. He contested for the senate position and won in 1999. He was a one-term senator and made a great impact on the life of Osun East and Osun people in general.
President Buhari commended Senator Akinfenwa for contributing immensely to the services of others and also working tirelessly to promote unity among Nigerians in different spheres of life.
The president, in his final statement, prayed to God almighty to comfort the family of the late senator and to grant the deceased eternal rest.
