Azuka Azinge, acting Registrar-General, Corporate Affairs Commission, has recounted the giant strides the commission has made since she took over from the previous Registrar-General two years ago.

According to her, a functional website and periodicals were introduced. Business Incentive Strategy (BIS) was successfully implemented and this resulted in the reduction in the cost of registration of business names by fifty percent.

She said that public engagement was done through communication with stakeholders, general public customer study and open market campaigns via periodic customer forums.

“A total of 244,428 businesses were registered. Nigeria made a significant progress in the ease of doing business in 2017 and 2018,” she maintained.

She added that the commission's consistent participation in the nationwide micro small and medium enterprises, MSMEs, under the office of the Vice-President was ensured.
