The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, on Saturday, affirmed that police officers will be on full duty at the Kogi and Bayelsa States elections which will hold on November 16.
He made the disclosure at an event organized by the Lafia Progressive Forum, where he gave the assurance that full support will be given to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure free and fair elections.
Expressing his gratitude to the forum for hosting him, he said: “There is nothing good than for one to be celebrated by his people at home. I will continue to be a good ambassador of my community by discharging my duties with sincerity and the fear of God.”
Nasarrawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, who was also present, commended Adamu for his good works, adding that he was grateful for the Establishment of the Mobile Police Training School, Police College and Police Public Relations (PPRO) training school in Nasarawa State.
