To mark this year’s Eid-ul-Mawuld, which will be held in remembrance of the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammed, the Federal Government on Thursday declared Monday, November 11, a public holiday.
Mohammed Manga, Director of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Interior, made the announcement in a statement released to the media yesterday.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, in the statement, congratulated Muslims on the occasion and enjoined them to live within the virtues and teachings of the prophet.
The former governor added that Nigeria would soon join the league of developed nations with the immense potentials the country is endowed with as well as its human and natural resources.
“With love, commitment, self-sacrifice, patience and patriotism, we will certainly, build a greater Nigeria,” Aregbesola said.
