Kehinde, one of the famous identical twins popularly called Lijadu Sisters, is dead.
According to her cousin, David Lanre Lijadu, who confirmed her death, Kehinde died as a result of stroke complications in the early hours of Saturday morning in New York.
She was aged 72 at the time of her death.
The twin sisters who are cousins of the late Afrobeat music legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, were famous for singing a song about reincarnation.
Some of their evergreen classics are ‘Danger’ (1976), ‘Mother Africa’ (1977) and ‘Orere Elejigbo’ (1997).
