NYSC Expels Two Female Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps, Ebonyi State, has expelled two female corps members from the camp.

The two corps members, identified as Odji Oritsetsolaye, with call-up number EB/19C/0530, and Okafor Love Obianuju, with call-up number EB/19C/0523, were expelled because they refused to wear NYSC shorts.

The Batch C Stream I corps members were required to wear their NYSC kits during their three-week orientation exercise.

Mrs Ukwuoma, NYSC spokesperson, revealed that the two corps members were seen wearing their white shirts on white skirts, thereby disregarding the dress code of the service.

She added that the two corps members claimed that wearing shorts was against their faith.

She noted that the two women who showed their readiness to face the consequences of their actions were expelled by the camp’s court after they were found guilty and escorted out of the camp by the security agents.
