The Senate have resolved to pass the 2020 Appropriation Bill on November 28, 2019.
Ahmed Lawan, the President of the Senate, on Tuesday, confirmed the new development to the media.
Briefing newsmen, Lawan noted that the Senate Committee on 2020 Budget would submit its report on November 26, while the House of Representatives would pass the report at the same time.
“All the committees have done their work so well within the defined parameters and therefore we expect the Appropriations Committee to galvanize into action and produce the report to be laid here on the 26th November next two weeks before the Senate.
“I believe this will be the same thing in our sister chamber, the House of Representatives, so that we can pass the 2020 Appropriation Bill on the 28th of November,” Lawan said.
Recall on October 8, President Muhammadu Buhari presented N10.33 trillion budget for the National Assembly’s scrutiny.
