The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Muhammed, has addressed the rumours milling around that there is a rift between his state and neighbouring state, Gombe, after oil was discovered in border communities.
The governor said this at a program organised by Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, which was held to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammed.
He further stated that the two states remain the same entity because Gombe was carved out of Bauchi.
“We are brothers and sisters. If oil is discovered in any of the border communities, we are all the same,” Muhammed stated.
The leader of the Darika in Africa, Dahiru, urged Muslims to emulate the life and teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad, adding that the prophet exhibited love and kindness over all beings and was known for his love for children.
