A man from Osun State, identified as Kazeem Adetayo, has been arraigned before the state’s magistrates’ court sitting in Osogbo.
He was arraigned for stealing seventy thousand naira (N70,000) from his wife on two-count charges, bordering on stealing.
The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Kayode Adeoye, said that Kazeem committed the crime on October 6, 2019, around 6 pm in Owode. He explained that the accused stole N70, 000 belonging to Omowunmi, his wife, at her residence.
The counsel for the accused, Okobe Najite, applied for the bail of Kazeem who pleaded not guilty to the charges. Magistrate Taofiq admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in the like sum.
Meanwhile, the wife, Omowumi, denied planning to stop the case, which was adjourned till December 20, 2019.
