The Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Saturday said she was satisfied that justice had been meted out on the police officer that killed several Nigerians in South Africa.
She said this in a statement released by the Head of Media and Public Relations Unit of the Commission, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, in Abuja.
“We are glad that justice has been done. We have always stated that there has to be consequences for actions. We are glad that this case finally came to an end and South Africa has demonstrated the political will to deal with xenophobia,” she stated.
The former federal lawmaker urged Nigerians in the country to stick to President Muhammadu Buhari’s advice to be good ambassadors of Nigeria wherever they find themselves.
She added that the recent justice would further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
